Google Ads management

Campaigns built around your margins, not your click volume.

Google Ads will spend whatever you give it. Our job is to make sure the account is aimed at the searches most likely to turn into customers, and that it measures the right thing while it does it.

What is included

Everything that decides whether the spend works.

Management is not a monthly report and a few bid tweaks. These are the levers that actually move an account.

Campaign structure, including how budgets and bidding are split between them
Keyword targeting, match types and the negative keyword lists that keep spend clean
Ad copy, headlines and the extensions that take up more room in the results
Conversion tracking, so the account optimises towards enquiries or sales rather than clicks
Shopping feeds, product grouping and Merchant Center health for ecommerce accounts
Bidding strategy, budget pacing and the pacing warnings that are easy to miss
Performance reporting in plain language, once a month

Campaign types

Four formats, chosen for a reason.

Not every business needs all of them. We start with whatever gets your budget in front of the right people soonest.

Search ads

Text ads on Google's results page. The fastest channel for businesses whose customers are already searching for what they sell.

Shopping ads

Product listings with images and prices. For retail and ecommerce, this is usually the first place to look for scale.

Display ads

Banner placements across the Google network. Useful for staying in front of people who already visited but did not enquire.

Video ads

YouTube placements, where a short piece of video can explain something a text ad cannot fit.

How it works

Five stages, in this order.

Skipping the first step is the most common and most expensive mistake we are asked to fix.

  1. Review the account and the tracking

Before anything is changed we check what the account is measuring. Campaigns optimising towards a signal that does not match your revenue will keep drifting no matter how well they are built.

  2. Agree on what a good month looks like

Cost per enquiry, cost per sale, or the type of customer you want more of. Without a number to aim at, optimisation becomes opinion.

  3. Rebuild the structure

Campaigns, ad groups, keywords and negatives arranged so that each part of the budget has a clear job and can be judged on its own.

  4. Write and test the ads

Headlines and descriptions written for the search, then tested against each other rather than replaced on a hunch.

  5. Optimise and report

Ongoing work on bids, budgets, search terms and audiences, with a monthly summary written for a business owner rather than a marketer.

Worth a look

Six things we check before anything else.

None of these mean an account has been managed badly. They usually mean it was set up once and never revisited.

  • 01Search terms report that has not been opened in months
  • 02Conversion values missing, so bidding cannot tell a $50 sale from a $5,000 one
  • 03Broad match keywords with no negative keyword list behind them
  • 04One campaign carrying the whole budget because nobody split it out
  • 05Location and ad schedule settings still on the defaults from setup day
  • 06Ad copy that has not changed since the account was built
